Chelsea Football: Possible Starting 11 After The January Transfer Window
Chelsea spent big in January, bringing in the likes of Fernando Torres and David Luiz. With these signings comes decisions and changes to Chelsea's starting 11. The first change will be who should Fernando Torres replace, and the second is if David Luiz should start, and if so who to replace.
Chelsea's next game against Liverpool is where we will get the answers to all these questions, but this is my prediction as to what team Carlo Ancelloti should play tomorrow.
GK: Peter Cech

Chelsea's keeper is feeling no pressure from subs Ross Turnbull and Hilario. He is a lock to start against Liverpool and if he can play as well as he has been all season then the games should go smoothly. He will have to deal with both of Livepool's new signings, Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez, but he will be happy that he does not have to face Fernando Torres.
LB: Ashley Cole

Arguably the best left back in the world, Cole also has the starting position no questions asked against Liverpool. Some say he has not been at his best this season, but if he can get back to his best he will once again be Chelsea's feared left back.
CB: John Terry

Chelsea's captain has been solid at the back all year round and should continue to do so for the rest of the season. He has also shown that he can step up and score goals at important moments, scoring Chelsea's third goal to take the lead against Sunderland on Tuesday night.
CB: Branislav Ivanović

Chelsea's Serbian superstar has been superb all year round at the back and even scoring three goals in the Premiership and two in the Champions league. Experience beats youth in his battle with David Luiz and I expect it to stay that way, at least until the end of the season.
RB: Jose Bosingwa

Bosingwa has been great for Chelsea ever since joining the club in the Summer of 2008. David Luiz will challenge Bosingwa to start tomorrow, but expect Bosingwa to come out on top of Carlo Ancelloti's list. The Portuguese defender at his best could be considered one of the best right backs in the Premiership.
Sub Defender: David Luiz

I have not seen enough of the Brazilian youngster play, and 23 million still is not enough to give him a place to start. I expect him to see a lot of action coming off the bench, and who knows if he can put a few good performances together he might just slip into Carlo Ancelloti's starting team.
RM: Ramires

I have been very impressed with the Brazilian even though I did expect much from him since he joined last summer. He might have to fight to start against youngstar Josh McEachran and John Obi-Mikel, but for now I would keep him starting.
DM: Michael Essien

Chelsea's great African Defensive Midfielder has yet to show his best this season. We all know, at his best he could be considered one of, if not the best Chelsea player. Essien does not have to worry about losing his starting spot, everyone including Carlo Ancelloti has him rated better than John Obi-Mikel.
AM: Frank Lampard

Chelsea's playmaker in the midfield has had his season shortened by injury, but he has comeback well scoring from the penalty spot against Sunderland on Tuesday. Once he gets back to the Frank Lampard Chelsea fans know and love, he will once again be unstoppable.
LM: Florent Malouda

Chelsea's French winger has been great this year scoring nine goals. He should continue to play well now with the addition of Torres being a great help as a target for Malouda's crosses. Malouda has no one to even challenge him so he should definitely start tomorrow.
Sub Midfielder: Josh Mchearan

Chelsea's young star has been a great discovery for Chelsea this season and should be getting a lot more games than he is. I agree with recent comments by Carlo Ancelotti that McEachran is ready to start, but since those comments were made, McEachran has hardly made any appearances off the bench. If Chelsea are not going to use him, he should have been loaned out in January.
ST: Fernando Torres

The questions have already started about if Torres and Drogba can play together. But let's face it, they are both two of the best strikers in the world so there is no reason they should not be able to play with each other. Expect Torres to be scoring a lot for Chelsea, with his debut and hopefully first goal coming against his old club Liverpool.
ST: Didier Drogba

I have been told now that Torres is here, Drogba's goals will drop way down. I expect the complete opposite to happen as him and Torres will team up brilliantly to be scoring plenty of goals between them. Torres and Drogba could turn out to be as deadly a pair as Torres and David Villa with Spain.
Sub Striker: Nicolas Anelka

Don't expect Anelka to completely disappear from Chelsea straight away after the arrival of Torres. He could just turn out to be Chelsea's impact sub and hopefully he will stay at the club at the end of the season, after a recent statement that he desires to one day play in the MLS.
