Altogether, this recent January transfer window has been one of the biggest in recent memory. With the likes of Fernando Torres and Mark van Bommel switching clubs, the entire complexion of the Champions League and the Europa League has changed.
With this in mind, here are 11 of the biggest transfers that will affect European competition this season.
Antonio Cassano

After a successful run at Sampdoria, Antonio Cassano transferred to AC Milan in what was the first signing of the winter transfer window for the Rosseneri.
Cassano is cup-tied, so he will not feature in the Champions League.
