National Signing Day 2011: West Virginia Football's Top 10 Commitments

Chris HumphreyJun 7, 2018

With the winds of change sweeping down from Oliver Luck’s office, the Mountaineers will enter the upcoming 2011 season in a transition year as Bill Stewart ends his run as the head man in Morgantown with Dana Holgorsen taking over the reigns in 2012.

West Virginia also will be without the services of Noel Devine and Jock Sanders on the offensive side of the ball, who both rank near the top of their respective categories after the careers ended this season.

With a defense that ranked in the top 10 in most categories, the loss of the interior of the defense with linebackers JT Thomas and Anthony Leonard in addition to nose tackle Chris Neild will need to be addressed if the defense will need to be as strong as in 2010.

With the loss of those central elements to the offense and defense, the Mountaineers will look to these newcomers to make an impact at the positions that have been left in flux after the 2010 season.
