Joshua CareyJan 8, 2011

Strikeforce Challengers 13 took place from the Nashville (Tenn.) Municipal Auditorium last night, and Bleacher Report was live on location.

Tyron Woodley extended his undefeated record to 8-0 by defeating Tarec Saffiedine (10-3) via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28).

Saffiedine, known for his powerful striking, was neutralized enough for Woodley to earn the nod on the judges' scorecards.

Post fight Woodley said, "For me, it was about getting out of his range and getting in there when I could. I think I did a good job tonight."

Daniel Cormier, who is a two-time member of the US Olympic team, took on Devin Cole in heavyweight action.

Cormier stuck to his roots for the most part and put his opponent on his back throughout the fight.

While on the feet, the Olympic wrestler displayed vastly improved striking by mixing his kicks and punches together well.

The undefeated Cormier stated in his post-fight in-cage interview, "I want to continue to improve and make my way up the ladder."

Former University of Tennessee football player Ovince St. Preux defeated Ron "Abongo" Humphrey by unanimous decision.

Amanda Nunes made quick work of Julia Budd as she landed a left hook and immediately followed her opponent to canvas where the fight was stopped due to strikes (Ref. Stoppage).

Judo expert Rhadi Ferguson survived a tough first round by his opponent John Richard to come back and lock on a fight-ending kneebar in the second round.
