Terrelle Pryor: Ohio State's Pryor Now Has a Legacy at Ohio State
Amongst all the negative criticism Terrelle Pryor has taken in his three years at Ohio State, he has now proven he is a winner and deserves to be mentioned with the all-time elite buckeyes.
Pryor is now 31-4 in his three years as a starter including a 3-0 record against Michigan and 2-1 in BCS bowls with a Rose and Sugar Bowl win.
Pryor is also the first-ever Ohio State quarterback to lead his team to a win against an SEC team.
Ohio State came into last night's Sugar Bowl 0-9 all time against the SEC, and it took the dual-threat Pryor too finally get the win.
In both of Pryor's bowl victories, Ohio State was not the popular pick, going back to last year's Rose Bowl, and it took elite performances from Pryor to get wins in each game.
Pryor threw for 266 yards with two touchdowns in that game, adding 72 yards on the ground. In last night's Sugar Bowl, Pryor had a similar performance, throwing for 220 yards with two touchdowns—more impressive were Pryor's 115 yards on the ground against that SEC speed.
Pryor was also named MVP in each of these games.
With his elite performances in Ohio State's biggest games, Pryor deserves some positive recognition for all he's done on the field.
In his post-game, on-the-field interview, Pryor made a point to apologize to "Buckeye Nation" and truly seemed remorseful for his off-the-field actions as a freshman that will sideline him for the first five games in 2011.
Pryor bleeds Ohio State football and he's made it clear that all he wants is to go down as a Buckeye great.
After last nights MVP performance, Pryor has proven he is.
