Bowl Schedule 2010-11: Predicting the Outcome of the Remaining Bowl Games
It's almost time for the new year to begin and before you all go out on new years eve here are some predictions for the bowl games that you will miss when you are recovering from your long night of partying, Lt. Dan style, just make sure she doesn't taste like cigarettes.
Okay so all jokes aside, this is the best day of the year for college football fans and it kicks off a great week of college football action.
Here are some predictions for the bowl games that will ring in the new year.

TicketCity Bowl: Northwestern Vs Texas Tech
1 of 26
This game should be a great match-up between the Big Ten and the Big Twelve on New Years Day this season. It features two great offenses and two teams that were great this season.
They both come in with a 7-5 record while each only won 3 of their 8 conference games this season.
Northwestern
2 of 26
Although both of these teams are evenly matched, Northwestern will win this game. Northwestern is a team that flies under the radar every season and this one is no different.
Although they lost to some pretty lack-luster teams, I don't see them losing this game to Texas Tech.
Outback Bowl: Florida Vs Penn State
3 of 26
This should be a great game and could possibly be the last game for both of these two legendary coaches at their respective schools, depending on Joe Paterno's decision at the end of the season.
Florida is looking to capitalize on what was a far from stellar season, as Penn State is looking to do the same.
They both come in with a 7-5 record and a 4-4 conference record.
Penn State
4 of 26
I just can't see Penn State losing this game. Although their record doesn't show it, they are a very decent team that is very young.
Four of their five losses came by ranked teams, with their other coming from a decent Illinois team that recently destroyed Missouri.
Capital One Bowl: Alabama Vs Michigan State
5 of 26
This is the match-up that I've been waiting for. Alabama vs Michigan State should be a great match-up full of excitement and emotions.
Both of these teams were basically screwed by the BCS, especially Michigan State who finished the season 10-1.
Alabama comes in as defending national champs and looking to put a beat-down on Michigan State.
Alabama
6 of 26
Alabama is just too strong for the Spartans to beat. It should be a great game, and they might surprise me, but I just don't think they have what it takes to beat Alabama.
Gator Bowl: Mississippi State Vs Michigan
7 of 26
Yet another SEC vs Big Ten battle awaits us on New Years day this season. This should be a great match-up between two teams that just didn't live up to expectations this season.
Miss. State comes in at 8-4 with a conference record of 4-4 while Michigan enters with a record of 7-5 and a conference record of 3-5.
Mississippi State
8 of 26
Michigan's defense is going to prevent them from winning this game. It is absolutely pitiful and will allow a strong Miss. State team to take advantage.
The big question in this one is what will be of Michigan coach Rich Rodriguez?
The Rose Bowl: Wisconsin Vs TCU
9 of 26
This is the match-up that a lot of people have been waiting for. Wisconsin comes in with a record of 10-1 and is looking to knock off the undefeated TCU team.
TCU comes in with a point to prove, and show that they belong in the national championship game and are looking to stomp their opponent.
Wisconsin
10 of 26
This game should be a great match-up between the Big Ten and the Big Twelve on New Years Day this season. It features two great offenses and two teams that were great this season.
They both come in with a 7-5 record while each only won 3 of their 8 conference games this season.
Tostitos Fiesta Bowl: UConn Vs Oklahoma
11 of 26
This is not the game everyone wanted to see. Oklahoma is one of the best teams in the country and they are facing a team that is 8-4 on the season.
The BCS should be ashamed of themselves for allowing UConn in this game when reams such as Michigan State and Alabama are left out to dry.
Oklahoma
12 of 26
Oklahoma will win this match-up in dominating fashion. The Big East was awful this season, and this match-up sounds better as a basketball match-up for UConn.
Oklahoma will rock UConn just like the Stanford team did to the UConn women.
Orange Bowl: Standford Vs Virginia Tech
13 of 26
This match-up between the Pac 10 and ACC should actually be a great one. Even though a lot of people are counting out Virginia Tech in this one, they should be able to hang around with Stanford.
Stanford comes in with a record of 11-1 while Virginia Tech comes in with a record of 11-2.
Stanford
14 of 26
Stanford should come in and win this game because of Andrew Luck. Luck is looking to keep his draft status, and he will be wanting to win what could be his last game at Stanford.
Sugar Bowl: Ohio State Vs Arkansas
15 of 26
This match-up should be yet another classic Big Ten vs SEC conference battle for superiority among the college football landscape this season.
OSU comes in with a record of 11-1 this season while Arkansas is 10-2.
Ohio State
16 of 26
Although I don't think he should be allowed to play, Terrell Pryor will lead the Buckeyes to victory in this game. In what could be his last game as a Buckeye, contrary to reports, he will want to go out with a bang to improve his stock in the draft.
GoDaddy.com Bowl: Middle Tennessee Vs Miami (Ohio)
17 of 26
This should be a great bowl game that basically has no meaning but is just a filler game that will lead us into our next BCS match-up.
MIddle Tennessee comes in with a record of 6-6, while Miami comes in with a 9-4 record on the season.
Miami
18 of 26
Miami has this one in the bag. Even though a lot of people won't be watching, they will be looking to show that they are great on a national spotlight. Look for them to take advantage of this.
Cotton Bowl: LSU Vs Texas A&M
19 of 26
Oh the good ole Big 12 vs SEC match-up of southern pride. Who will win this match-up full of pride and emotion.
LSU comes in with a record of 10-2 while A&M has a record of 9-3 this season.
LSU
20 of 26
LSU will win this match-up because they are the better team. They come in with a big chip on their shoulder for not making the BCS and will look to make a statement.
BBVA Compass Bowl: Pittsburgh Vs Kentucky
21 of 26
These two teams have not had the best of seasons but are looking to capitalize on that with a bowl victory, and as proven so far this year, the worst bowl games are sometimes the best to watch--just look at the Little Caesars Bowl.
Pittsburgh comes in with no coach and a record of 7-5, while Kentucky has a record of 6-6 and no quarterback.
Kentucky
22 of 26
Kentucky will not lose this game, although their record may not show it, they have been a very solid team and play in the best conference in the nation. Kentucky will come out and show the Big East how it's done in the south.
Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl: Nevada Vs Boston College
23 of 26
Yet another filler game awaits us as we look forward to the BCS National Championship Game. This one features a team that was expected to bust the BCS this season in Nevada, who actually beat Boise State.
Boston College comes in with a record of 7-5 this season while Nevada has a record of 11-1 on the year.
Nevada
24 of 26
It's hard to not choose Nevada in this game. Nevada has a record of 11-1 and beat one of the best teams in the country in Boise State.
Nevada will easily handle BC in this one.
BCS National Championship Game: Oregon Vs Auburn
25 of 26
Oh this is what we all have been waiting for. The BCS national championship game, what the season comes down to in the end.
Auburn comes in with a record of 13-0 as Oregon is 12-0 and looking to upset the Tigers.
Oregon
26 of 26
Oregon will win this match-up. Chip Kelley will have the boys fired up and ready to play, with their high powered offense. Auburn has been on the ropes all season, avoiding losses like jabs in a boxing match-up.
Oregon will win this one in what will be a high scoring affair for the title.
