Bo Pelini: Latest Rumors Surrounding the Nebraska Cornhuskers Coach
'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house,
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
Silence has become something to be appreciated at the University of Nebraska this year.
At a school where football news is generally the most important, the last few weeks have been awful for Cornhuskers fans.
First Bo Pelini lost his cool in a game at Texas A & M and the ESPN cameras were there to catch every second of it.
Pelini's in-your-face confrontation with quarterback Taylor Martinez began weeks of rampant speculation on a variety of rumors.
The first rumor to come out after the confrontation was that Martinez had quit the team.

Once Martinez was seen with the team, the new rumor became that Martinez missed the Colorado game due to a suspension, not due to injury.
Ever since then it's been nonstop rumors that Martinez will transfer at the season's end.
Then came the reports that Pelini was a candidate for the University of Miami's coaching vacancy.
What in the world was going on in Husker Nation? Even the proudest, most confident Husker fans were getting annoyed with all the "rumors and innuendo" being repeated across the nation.
While Husker fans struggled to find any credible reason Pelini might defect, the Omaha World Herald reported that Pelini was peeved with Chancellor Harvey Perlman's comments after the Martinez-Pelini incident.
Pelini publicly denied that he was interviewing for the job and refused comment on two separate occasions. Fans were left to wonder who was telling the truth, the University of Miami, or Pelini.
But this week has been a good week.
The Canes hired a coach, and even the Gators hired a coach. Neither were named Pelini.
Seemingly the Pelini drama should be over (one would hope).
And there hasn't been a new rumor about Martinez in a week or two, so that's good news.
The quieter...the better.
