Fantasy Football Week 14 Wide Receivers: Who To Pick-Up, Drop, and Ignore
The fantasy football playoffs are upon us, and roster decisions are more important now than any point in the year.
The first round of the fantasy playoffs starts in one of my leagues this week, but I earned a first-round bye thanks in large part to waiver wire pick-ups this year. In my other league, there is still a week to go before playoffs start, yet I have already earned the top seed there.
In both leagues, the other managers took a snooze and let me swoop in and pick up players like Michael Vick.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
If you are needing help at wide receiver as the fantasy playoffs begin, here are some players you shouldn't snooze on, or should cut loose. It can make the difference.
Pick-Ups
Sidney Rice, Minnesota Vikings
He's clearly back in form, picking up 105 yards and two scores on Sunday.
Talented and explosive, he's fresh-bodied late in the season, always a plus in fantasy play.
Rice is boiling on the wire in 32 percent of Yahoo! leagues.
Jacoby Ford, Oakland Raiders
Ford has shown great highway mileage over the past several games, where he has impressed with his speed and scored his fourth touchdown in his last four games.
If your league gives anything for return yards and scores, he's even more of a must.
Ford is still sitting on the lot in 77 percent of Yahoo! leagues. Work out the payments and get the keys as soon as possible.
Roy Williams, Dallas Cowboys
Williams has quietly had a decent year, showing better hands than he has over the past few seasons.
This has been overshadowed by the team's early struggles, coaching change, injury to Tony Romo and the emergence of Dez Bryant. Roy had a chance to be a last second hero against the Washington Redskins taken away after a Cowboys holding penalty and was not to blame for the fumble against New Orleans. Anyone would have lost that ball, as it was taken from him in a great defensive play.
With Bryant now out for the year with a broken ankle, Williams should see more looks as the Cowboys continue to play spoiler.
Williams is available in 53 percent of Yahoo! leagues.
Ignore
Anthony Armstrong, Washington Redskins
I love Armstrong's ability and upside, but despite his 97 yards and touchdown on Sunday, he has not seen enough consistency to warrant a roster spot for your playoff run.
If you are in a keeper league, however, grab him. He'll be something big in another year or two.
Earl Bennett, Chicago Bears
He's put up good numbers the past couple of games, but it's hard to risk a playoff roster spot to a WR on a run-first team during the winter. The Bears upcoming games will be in Chicago and Green Bay to boot.
Drop
Dez Bryant, Dallas Cowboys
The rookie sensation suffered a broken ankle on Sunday, ending his 2010 season.
Keeper leagues should hold on, as he'll be unreal in 2011 and beyond. Otherwise, time to find another player for now.
Vincent Jackson, San Diego Chargers
Apparently, Jackson did not come back in shape and ready, or is milking an "injury" so he may continue his hold-out in a different way.
Not worth a risk. Dump him.
