College Football Week 13: Will Auburn, Oregon, Boise State Fall in BCS Rankings?
Week 13's slate of college football games offers some big tests for the top teams in the BCS Rankings.
Cam Newton and the Auburn Tigers take on the Alabama Crimson Tide, Oregon faces a tough Arizona team, and Boise State faces a ranked WAC team (yes, there's another one) in Nevada.
With these being just a few of some key matchups this weekend (LSU vs. Arkansas comes to mind), there is bound to be some shakeup in the BCS standings next Sunday.
So how will the BCS rankings will change next week?
Auburn
1 of 9
Current Ranking: 1
Auburn faces a tough test in the Iron Bowl, squaring off against an underachieving Alabama team that has as much talent as any team in the nation.
The Tigers dynamic offense will see success against the Crimson Tide, but it could get lit up by Alabama's balanced attack on offense.
The bottom line is Alabama's defense is much better than Auburn's, and that should be enough to earn the "W."

Alabama
2 of 9
Current Ranking: 11
Alabama is already the highest-ranked two-loss team in the BCS.
So how far will it climb with a win over Auburn?
It's anyone's guess, but the Crimson Tide will be helped tremendously by the computers and the AP poll already has them ranked at No. 9.
I see them climbing all the way to No. 5 (with an LSU loss), mostly because of the SEC bias always present in the human polls.
But with two losses, they still won't leapfrog Auburn.
Next Week's Ranking: 5
Boise State
3 of 9
Current Ranking: No. 4
Boise has a difficult game against Colin Kaepernick and Nevada, but the Broncos are just too good to lose now.
And with Auburn losing, the majority of the Tigers' 13 AP first-place votes will go to the Broncos, who already have 10.
TCU currently has zero, but will likely get a few and remain ahead of Boise State in the computers, but its lead in the computers will definitely be trimmed.
Since the human polls make up two-thirds of the BCS formula, Boise State will likely leap TCU in the standings, whether it deserves to or not.
Boise State has better name-recognition, and that will be the key.
Next Week's Ranking: No. 2
LSU
4 of 9
Current Ranking: 5
LSU is a good team, but it will be challenged against Arkansas's potent offense led by Ryan Mallett.
The Tigers defense will slow down the Razorbacks, but Mallett and running back Knile Davis will prove too much.
LSU won't be able to keep up with Arkansas' offense, and will fall this week.
And with a loss, it will likely drop all the way to No. 12 in the BCS.
Next Week's Ranking: 12
Arkansas
5 of 9
Current Ranking: 12
The win over LSU will be a huge boost to Arkansas' ranking.
It won't be enough for the Razorbacks to overtake Ohio State (who the human voters always love), but this signature win will be enough for them to jump Michigan State.
Next Week's Ranking: 10
Oklahoma State
6 of 9
Current Ranking: 9
The Cowboys have a big game against Oklahoma this weekend, and it should be a shootout between two elite passing offenses.
This will come down to the fourth quarter, and I'm betting on Brandon Weeden over Landry Jones.
But despite beating the nation's No. 13 team, Oklahoma State will be jumped by Alabama.
The Cowboys will likely climb past Ohio State, though, who won't get a whole lot of credit for beating a not-so-good Michigan team.
Oklahoma State's win will benefit them enormously in the computers, and they'll be poised to climb even higher if they can capture the Big 12 title.
Next Week's Ranking: 8
Oklahoma
7 of 9
Current Ranking: 13
After losing to Oklahoma State, the Sooners will drop significantly in the rankings.
Next Week's Ranking: 19
What About Oregon And TCU?
8 of 9
Oregon
Current Ranking: 1
Oregon faces a tough test this week, but I don't see the Ducks faltering.
They'll stay at No. 1.
Next Week's Ranking: 1
TCU
Current Ranking: 3
TCU isn't losing to New Mexico, but even with Auburn losing, Boise State will be the main beneficiary. The Horned Frogs get the shaft and stay at No. 3.
Next Week's Ranking: 3
