
English Premier League Power Rankings: Week 11
The Premier League saw two sets of games this week, and they included some interesting results.
Newcastle provided the upset of the week with their win at the Emirates.
Blackburn were the only club to get six points out of the week's games, while Wolverhampton were the only team to not earn a point.
The title race still looks like it is a four horse race, but Liverpool is gaining steam after their 2-0 win over Chelsea on Sunday.
20. Wolverhampton (17)

Wolves ended their stretch of games against title contenders with a disappointing loss to Manchester United at the death, and a loss to Arsenal.
Mick McCarthy's men were the only team to not get a single point out of their two games this week.
Wolves are now 19th in the table and will look to get back on track in a tough home match against Bolton on Saturday.
19. West Ham (19)

Avram Grant's team were able to snag two points this week, but still sit at the bottom of the table with eight points.
The good news is that the Hammers scored four goals in the two games, with two coming from Frederic Puquionne.
Next up is a home match at Upton Park against Blackpool on Saturday.
18. Wigan (18)

After losing 2-1 in a relegation battle with Blackburn over the weekend, the Latics earned a valuable point thanks to Hugo Rodallega.
Rodallega put home his fourth goal of the season in the second half against Liverpool to earn a draw for Wigan.
West Brom visits the 18th placed club in the table on Saturday.
17. Blackpool (15)

The good news is that Blackpool scored four goals in two games.
The bad news is they gave up five goals in the same two games.
A 2-2 draw with Everton and a 3-2 loss to Aston Villa were the results for Ian Holloway's club this week.
Four different goal scorers (Eardley, Vaughan, Harewood and Campbell) found the net for the Tangerines, who now sit on 14 points in 14th place in the table.
16. Birmingham (12)

Birmingham keep dropping points, and this week was no different.
The Blues got only one point out of two relegation battles with West Ham and Stoke.
Sitting 17th in the table, the Blues now go in to a four game stretch where they face Manchester City, Chelsea, Fulham, and Spurs.
15. Fulham (11)

After a good run of form to start the season, Fulham have only gotten five points out of their last six games.
The Cottagers were only able to take one point this week, in a 1-1 draw with Aston Villa.
Mark Hughes' club has now fallen to 15th in the table and will face a tough road trip to St. James' Park on Saturday.
14. Stoke (16)

After going down 2-0 to Sunderland on the weekend, Stoke pulled it together and got a win on Tuesday.
Dean Whitehead's 85th minute goal sent the Potters to a win over Birmingham and gave them a crucial three points in the table.
After avoiding the relegation zone this past week, the Potters will look to do the same in a challenging home match against Liverpool.
13. Blackburn (20)

Blackburn were the only team to win both their games this week and earn a full six points.
Victories over Wigan and Newcastle sent Rovers all the way up to 13th place in the table.
Jason Roberts scored the winning goal in both games for Sam Allardyce's club.
As a reward for earning six points, a trip to White Hart Lane is next.
12. West Brom (7)

Albion's magic against the powers of the Premier League came to an end when they lost to Manchester City at home on Sunday.
The Baggies also had a 2-2 draw with bottom feeders West Ham on Wednesday.
The lack of points dropped the Baggies down to 11th place in the table after being in the top four just a few weeks ago.
11. Everton (5)

Everton extended their unbeaten streak to five games with two draws this week.
Toffees fans can thank Seamus Coleman and Jermaine Beckford for scoring equalizers in each game to keep the streak going.
Arsenal will visit Goodison Park on Sunday, when the Toffees try to extend their unbeaten streak.
10. Sunderland (14)

It was all about Asamoah Gyan for Sunderland this week.
The Ghanian forward pounded home two in the win against Stoke and then hit the equalizer against Spurs on Tuesday.
After taking a point at White Hart Lane, the Black Cats will go back to London on Sunday and will look to take points from Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
9. Aston Villa (13)

James Collins was the hero for the Villains against Blackpool with his 89th minute goal.
Collins' goal gave Villa a 3-2 win to add to the point they got from their 1-1 draw with Fulham on Saturday.
Gerard Houllier has led his club up to 10th in the table on 16 points and face a tough home test against Manchester United on Saturday.
8. Tottenham (6)

Tottenham have to be the leading candidate for disappointment of the week.
Going into games against Bolton and Sunderland, it looked like Harry Redknapp's club could get a sufficient amount of points, but that was not the case.
Spurs took one point out of this week and somehow are still seventh in the table.
Spurs now take their four game win-less streak into a home game against Blackburn.
7. Newcastle (4)

Newcastle recorded the shock result of the week with their 1-0 win over Arsenal at the Emirates on Sunday.
Andy Carroll scored yet again, and looks to get an England call-up sooner rather than later.
Carroll netted the Magpies' only goal in their 2-1 loss to Blackburn.
The fifth place Magpies host Fulham on Saturday.
6. Bolton (10)

Bolton rebounded from their loss against Liverpool with a 4-2 thumping of Tottenham and followed that up by almost beating Everton, but ended up with a 1-1 draw instead.
Owen Coyle has gotten his club up to sixth place in the table and this team looks like it will fight for a European spot throughout the whole season.
Three very winnable games are next up for the Trotters with Wolves, Newcastle and Blackpool coming up.
5. Liverpool (9)

They're back.
Yes, just weeks after looking to be a complete train wreck, Liverpool got it together and now have 10 points in their last four games to move them up to ninth in the table.
The biggest storyline for the Reds is Fernando Torres, who netted all three of the team's goals this week, including a double against Chelsea.
A trip to the Brittania Stadium is next for Roy Hodgson and company who are one of the hottest teams in the EPL right now.
4. Manchester City (8)

City took care of business against West Brom in their 2-0 win on Saturday thanks to a double from Mario Balotelli, who also got sent off later in that game.
In the Manchester derby on Wednesday, City were the co-stars of a snooze fest that is being criticized by pundits for being a bad display of football.
City are still in fourth in the table and look to get back to their winning ways at home against Birmingham on Saturday.
3. Arsenal (3)

The Gunners bounced back from their home defeat to Newcastle with a win over Wolves on the road.
Marouane Chamakh scored in the first and 90th minutes to give Arsenal a 2-0 win and keep the Gunners in third place in the table.
A trip to Goodison Park on Sunday, followed by a London derby match with Spurs are the next two games on the schedule for Arsene Wenger and company.
2. Manchester United (2)

Park Ji-Sung saved the Red Devils from embarrassment at the hands of Wolves on Saturday.
The Korean winger had two goals, including his 90th minute strike to hand the Red Devils a 2-1 win.
As mentioned before, United played in a snoozer on Wednesday in the Manchester derby that ended 0-0.
Villa Park is the next destination for the Red Devils in their Premier League season.
1. Chelsea (1)

After losing 2-0 to Liverpool on Sunday, Chelsea rebounded with 1-0 win in their derby match with Fulham.
The Blues remain four points clear of second place Manchester United in the EPL table.
Stamford Bridge will be visited by Sunderland on Sunday and the Blues look to continue their winning ways.
