West Side Connection: 10 West Coast Teams the East Coast Needs to Know
Usually by the time the West Coast games start, the East Coast is fast asleep. The time difference is three hours, the games are either on Fox Sports West, or if they are on a prime time, they will start at 10 p.m.
The media is almost always biased for the East teams. If you look at the last five BCS National Championship games you will notice a lack there of teams from the West.
2005: University of Southern California vs. Texas
2006: Florida vs. Ohio State
2007: Louisiana State University vs. Ohio State
2008: Florida vs. Oklahoma
2009: Alabama vs. Texas
Five years, one team from either the Pac-10, or any other western conferences.
It is time to end this East Coast bias that ESPN, and the poll voters have against the West. It is time for those people who might be sleeping on the East when half of these teams play to take notice.
Sit back, relax, and click through these 10 teams that you may know a little about, but may see a lot more of come BCS National Title time.
