Manchester United: Sir Alex Finds Himself on a Rocky Road
Well, after taking a sabbatical from "Bleacher Report" as we passed through the spiritual month of Ramadhan, I am back and ready to once again tackle some of the latest stories making headlines.
Apart from those eye catching scandals, I would like to summarize United's start to the 2010/2011 season, look at what went wrong, and how Sir Alex and his staff could fix the mistakes in ensuring Chelsea don't get carried away with a huge lead come the halfway point.
After much criticism due to a lack of buying power in the market, Ferguson brushed of claims that he needs new faces, with a good enough preseason followed by an excellent performance in the Charity Shield encounter with Chelsea, then a 3-0 victory at home when they faced Newcastle and West Ham United.

But since then, it seems the wheels have come of a bit with two draws, which could be a factor come the end of the season and scrapping for a point here and there.
On the other hand, Chelsea seem to be in sublime form, brushing aside opposition after opposition with more than just positive scorelines.
The rise of Spurs, Manchester City and to some extend Everton and Villa brings even more concern to the dropped points so early in the season.
So the question at hand: Is ManU missing a player or two that could make a difference?
Personally, I feel not—the squad we have right know seems to be pretty good, with great depth and balance in youth and experience. I guess the key ingredients that's missing is "consistent form."
The preferred choice upfront with Berbatov and Wayne needs more work, with Berbatov looking sharper and more efficient while Wayne needs to really kick-on and make himself count.
The midfield is packed with quality players: Scholes has been brilliant so far, Fletcher will be vital especially in away game where the tempo is faster, and the opposition seem to control the speed of the game.
Carrick having sustained an injury will be of some concern to Sir Alex, while the likes of Nani, Valencia, Park, and Giggs could be the core of the wing-play.
Some concern is at the back, which is evident from the draw-ed-results; on the right, Neville has been caught on occasion due to a lack in speed with some teams looking to exploit that. Evra just hasn't been the same since the World Cup—he needs to put that drama behind him and refocus his energy positively on the field.
The central defensive positions, which are the most important, is where United have been problematic at times; Vidic been the constant, otherwise Evans is average—although he saved United on occasion, the return of Rio will be a massive boost.
Taking all of that into account, United might seem a very strong squad, yet they have been found out by Fulham and Everton.
Two massive games are coming up: Rangers, later tonight in the Champions League opening week, followed by the ultimate club derby, when Liverpool will visit Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.
Wayne Rooney is said to be on the return after been left out for the Everton trip following his personal life issues. He scored for England last week and will hope to regain his form, as United have a tough few weeks ahead.
New signing Javier Hernandez will also be hoping for some game time as he looks to make his mark in the Premiership, following a brief yet memorable World Cup in South Africa.
Sir Alex, being the manager he is, will know exactly what to do if he wants to go ahead of Liverpool in terms of League titles.
A question mark on the signing of Portuguese forward "Bebe" continues to be a talking point, as he hasn't been included in the either of the squads.
While everyone would agree this could be one of the toughest season in a long time, many would also agree that if United find their form, they could just be unstoppable.
