Will Manchester United's Summer Signing's Take Them Back to The Top?
With the recent close to the summer transfer window for European football; it's now time to asess wether signings are warranted and if players added can now help there respective teams.
This past summer Manchester United signed three players that are relatively young and don't project as splash signings to make an impact right away but rather two of the three players show great promise in years to come while the third player has a relative question mark over where his skills project to in the future.
Despite United supporters urging Sir Alex Ferguson to make more changes and bring in "Big Name" players to help the club, he has once again showed that he will not be swayed by the out cry of fans and rather know what he has in his team and use the depth of the team he has built with senior players and youthful ones alike to bring the club success.

Star-Studded World Cup Ad 🤩
The first of United's three signings came in the form of defender Chris Smalling who signed for an undisclosed fee from fellow Premier League side Fulham. The 20 year-old Englishman has shown tremendous upside with his big frame and eye for an up-field pass but also at times has shown that he has quite a bit to learn, but afterall that is expected from a young player with not much expierence in top-flight first team football.
The second of the three signings came in the form of a superstar in the making in Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez who also signed for an undisclosed fee from Chivas Guadalara, and became the first Mexican player signed in Manchester United's club history. He has already got the United faithful giddy with excitement after scoring in multiple pre-season games on United's summer tour of the United States and then finding the back of the net in United's 3-1 victory over Chelsea in the FA Community shield game to kickoff the season. He also had a very good World Cup this past summer scoring 2 goals for his native country Mexico and looks to be there striking choice for quite some time.
Here's where it gets tricky. The third signing in this summer's transfer window came up from a reccomondation from former United assistant coach and Portugese National coach Carlos Queiroz to sign striker Bebe from Portugese club Vitoria de Guimaraes. United spent £7.4 million on the 20 year-old Portugese striker who has signed for one of the world's biggest club's just 12 months after competing in the 2009 European Street Football Festival for CAIS, the organisation responsible for Portugal's Homeless World Cup team. Bebe himself was raised in an orphange and also spent some time on the streets, which makes his rags to riches story even more remarkable. Sir Alex Ferguson was recently quoted speaking about the player - "Bebe's two-footed, very quick, so the raw materials are there. And other clubs were starting to hover so we had to make a quick decision and said 'why don`t we go for it?' He's young and we're good at working with young players, so that is why we went for him."
Only time will tell if the promise matches the preformance for this young player who is only the third player to play for United from Cape Verdean descent after Nani and Henrik Larsson.
These three player's show quite alot of promise for the future even though the United faithful will still scratch there heads about not signing any big name player's or even making a play for Real Madrid's Rafael Van Der Vaart who's price tag was just reduced to only £8 million and the player is looking seemingly close to joining London side Tottenham in the coming days. Although as long as United get the results they desire I highly doubt the supporters will have any issues with the signings as long as United is competing for, and winning silverware.
