South Carolina TE Weslye Saunders Being Investigated by NCAA

One of South Carolina's most talented (and volatile) offensive weapons is being investigated by the NCAA for his potential ties to agents.

Weslye Saunders has connections to many of the University of North Carolina's players whom have been involved with agents. While little is currently known of Saunders' actual involvement, Steve Spurrier certainly knows the rules, and he will act swiftly if Saunders is found of any wrong doing.

Said Steve Spurrier to The State Newspaper: “All I know is they had talked to him, and talked to some players at North Carolina. That’s all I know,” Spurrier said. “Whatever comes (of it), we’ll just have to wait and see. But I can assure that all of our players, our team, has been well-versed or taught about agents or people giving them gifts or money or whatever. …So if we have a player that accepts money, gifts from agents or whoever, they’ll be ineligible to play."

If Saunders becomes ineligible to play, Justice Cunningham will step into the starting role. 

Throughout his career at South Carolina, Weslye Saunders has spent more time talking than actually producing. While the talent is there, some question his drive. Saunders had tested the NFL waters and decided that it wasn't for him.
