Glasgow Rangers Need a Saviour, Who Will It Be?
Sir David Murray has taken the 'for sale' signs down around Ibrox claiming no suitable buyer had came forward!
What do the fans think? Does Murray have Rangers best interests at heart anymore? Will he support Walter Smith in the transfer market?
Yes, Rangers are in financial turmoil, yes, Lloyds Bank has drawn up a business plan, but football is not just a business, it is an institution, a community for people with a passion for their club and the sport while taking a leap of faith when paying big money for players to take their club to next level.

Rangers are no different to the Manchester United or Real Madrid’s in world football, they have much more debt than the Ibrox club have, but the main difference is the quality of the leagues they play in and the TV money and sponsorship that goes hand in hand with these leagues.
With this money, the average fan hopes that their club can sign players to help their club become stronger at home and hopefully progress in the Champions League, or in Real Madrid’s case become kings of Europe once more.
In Scottish football, Celtic have the financial muscle, which is thanks to money earned from consecutive Champions League appearances. They have recently signed Charlie Mulgrew, arguably the best left back in Scotland, on a free transfer which could provide a real coup for new boss Neil Lennon, who is able to bring in more fresh faces to help Celtics challenge to wrestle the title away from arch rivals Rangers, who have won the championship for the past 2 seasons.
Over at Ibrox, captain David Weir has signed on for another year, a fit again Andy Webster returns from a successful loan spell at Dundee United, and perhaps, with a few shrewd signings, this could help deliver an unprecedented 3-in- a-row to Rangers.
However it is another summer of 'Which best players will leave Rangers?'
Madjid Bougherra and Danny Wilson have most recently been linked with the exit door at Ibrox, while top scorer and talisman, Kris Boyd is already away to Middlesbrough in England on a free transfer.
Martin Bain claims money is there to sign players, yet the club, who will operate in the Bosman market this summer, have already missed out on players who could help the ailing club to more success. Martin Petrov, formerly of Manchester City, would added quality of crosses the departed Kris Boyd could only have dreamed of.
Jose Goncalves, formally of Hearts, is on the radar but apparently cannot agree terms?
Rangers last signing came almost 2 years ago with American international star, Maurice Edu signing on a free transfer from MLS side Toronto. A clever bit of business by Walter Smith and a couple more like Edu would go down well with the Rangers faithful, however Rangers fans must be asking if Martin Bain is able tell the truth anymore or if Lloyds bank are sending the club backwards by recouping as much money as they can buy not signing any new players and allowing their best and brightest to leave.
If David Murray came out and gave genuine assurances about the club future and his plans for Rangers, then it might be easier for players to sign on at Ibrox but the uncertainty makes it difficult to assure any stability for players and fans alike.
There can be no doubt about the positive impact that Murray has had on Rangers Football Club and Scottish Football as a whole but while LLoyds Bank seem to have the tombstone ready and waiting for the Glasgow Giants perhaps it's time for him to step back and give the club away to ANY bidder that has the clubs interests at heart.
