Could Sir Alex Ferguson Launch a £25 Million Bid for Wesley Sneijder?

As we near closer to the start of another pulsating season in the Premiership, transfer rumours are flying high.

Amongst the many "so-called" transfer prospects, is the possibility that Dutchman Wesley Sneijder could be on his way to Old Trafford.

Well, for now the Holland international is focusing on qualifying for the final, as he looks ahead to tonight's all-important semifinals clash with Uruguay, set for Cape Town.

Sneijder has become one of the most talked about players in his role, and his work-rate is one of the key-factors which makes him stand out from others.

While at Real Madrid, he was not used enough and as a result made a switch to the Serie A where he won the treble last season under Jose Mourinho at Inter Milan.

According to many reports, Wesley is valued around £23-30 million. With United's tight budget Ferguson could go in with around £25 million.

Sneijder has been instrumental in Holland's advancement to the semifinal. He has played key roles in almost all of the matches leading in.

On the other hand, it will all depend on whether Rafa Benitez will look to sell him or make him part of team that he looks to build.

Sneijder was bought by Inter for £13 million, so a £12 million profit won't be bad business if the Inter bosses allow the sale.

I doubt anyone will disagree on his ability and what he can bring to the squad, it's just a matter of putting a deal together that can benefit both parties.
