Brazil vs. North Korea World Cup 2010: WIll Brazil Nuke North Korea?

Zaakir HoosenJun 15, 2010

With 13 games to be completed by the time Brazil kick-off their World Cup campaign in South Africa when they face Asian opposition in North Korea at Ellis Park in Johannesburg.

For thousands of Brazilian fans who made the trip across the Atlantic and for the local, it can't come any faster, as they all wait to see the five-time world champions take to the field.

What can we expect tonight?

Well in terms of the conditions, Ellis Park will once again provide an excellent surface, the same one that Argentina played on Saturday when they faced Nigeria.

Cold weather, somewhere around freezing point, could be expected with South Africa having been covered in icy conditions over the last 12 hours.

Snow-fall in the cape areas are sending cold condition to the north and inland areas, and windy conditions are expected.

While this could be in favour of North Korea, Brazil are determined to shrug of any claims that they are a weaker side with out some of their big names, and what better opportunity than tonight against a team ranked 100+?

The key for Brazil will be Robinho as he will look to break defences and trick his way beyond the back four hoping to feed Fabiano, who will lead the line.

Kaka is another major player who will be expected to control the center and create space with his dazzling passing ability.

Brazil will be ever so strong at the back with a very experienced back-line, but I doubt they will have much work.

Bastos, Maicon, or Alves, depending who starts, will look to run down the flanks taking the attack to the Koreans.

South Korea showed they had the fight when they face former European champions Greece in a 2-0 victory, but the North is not as good and could be opened up from the start.

With many predictions surrounding this match, many pundits feel Brazil will be far too strong and a goal fest could be on the cards.

So will the chilly Johannesburg winter bite Brazil or will the Koreans be outclassed by the Samba Kings...
