For their leader but with the Barcelona close to signing Valencia striker David Villa for £35 million, ensuring they will look to lower their offer by including a player in their bid.
Barcelona are a team filled with the world's best performers and Arsenal will need a replacement for there irreplaceable. So what player would be best to be included for Arsenal?
Naturally the Spanish champions won't let the likes of Lionel Messi or Andre Iniestia depart but there are others that could fill the void:
1.Yaya Toure
Arsene Wenger is reported eager to replace Cesc Fabregas with Yaya Toure but the Ivorian is sceptical about the move with his agent stating that the brother of former Arsenal captain Kolo Toure, is keen to stay at the Camp Nou.
Toure would be a strong signing for the Gunners with his strength and skill adding a new dimension to the Arsenal midfield. Alongside Abou Diaby and Alexandre Song, the North Londoners would boast a strong, enforced midfield that also boasts creativity.
However whether the Ivorian wants to join the Emirates is another story.
2. Zlatan Ibrahimović
Despite being a forward by trade, the addition of Zlatan Ibrahimović to Arsenal would be a impressive one. Although another midfield would need to be bought the presence of the imposing Swede in the Arsenal forward line would ensure more depth and skill is added.
The former Inter Milan striker could take up the lone striker role and enable star Gunner Robin van Persie to shift to his preferred left wing. The Arsenal forward line would now boast tremendous power and creativity as well as two deadly shooters.
3. Bojan Krkić
The 19 year old striking sensation has already played three seasons and wowed Europe since with Barcelona. The small yet tenacious striker boast sensational speed and balance plus a scintillating strike.
The Spaniard would be a welcome replacement if Andrei Arshavin departed too and is versatile enough to play anywhere in the forward line. Wenger could be so bold as to ask for Bojan and the latter striker.
4.Sergio Busquets
The talented defensive midfield was on Arsenal radar last season but has since continued his impressive form for the Catalans. Busquets is a strong, sharp defender who would be a ideal addition to the Gunners midfield.
The 21 year old boasts good height and power as well as a strong, incisive passing game.
5.Dmytro Chygryskiy
The Ukrainian defender is about as hard to get past as it is to say his name. With Arsenal in the market for a strong, quality defender the inclusion of Chygryskiy as well as a suitable cash fund would seem like a pretty solid offer for Wenger.
The 23 year old is tough and decisive when defending and also boast could velocity when attacking higher balls. A partnership with Thomas Vermaelen is easily viewable and with a ton of experience it would not be a bad deal.
6.Seydou Keita
The African midfield is creative and intelligent as well as a handy goalscorer. The Malian is experienced and has leadership credentials which would aid the younger promising midfielders.
However there may be better, more required replacements above.
7.Pedro
The hugely talented Spaniard who had a very impressive season with Barcelona would be a suitable replacement if Cesc Fabregas departs. With the ability to play with both feet, his versatile nature and aggressive ball play, the 22 year old would be mitigate the loss of Fabregas nicely.
There is no denying the departure will be incredibly tough for the Gunners to cover, but this opportunity also presents a chance for the Gunners to snap up some Spanish talent.
