Brazilian Coach Dunga Will Reveal Final World Cup List Tomorrow
In less than 24 hours Brazilian National Team coach Dunga will announce the 22 players that will fight to add the sixth star to the traditional yellow jersey and claim as theirs for good the FIFA World Cup.
No matter who he picks we all know that Brazil will be among the favorites for the title, but in a country where nine out of 10 people understand more about the sport than anything else Dunga is aware that his selection will be highly criticized.
Some names will be no surprise on the list: Julio Cesar (GK-Inter Milan), Maicon (DF-Inter Milan), Lucio (DF-Inter Milan), Dani Alves (DF-Barcelona), Kaka (MF-Real Madrid), Robinho (FW-Santos). These players are in Dunga's trust circle and actually very few of us would deny their value to the team.

However, there's still a cloud of uncertainty over some names and some others that we are almost sure he won't select even though there's a huge popular demand. Ronaldinho is certainly the first of those. Dunga has already made clear that although the AC Milan midfielder has been playing very well for his Italian club, he is out of the coach's plan. Therefore, Ronaldinho's fans can forget about it.
Another AC Milan player apparently has lost his spot on the team and also the support from the Brazilian press. Alexandre Pato is still one of the best prospects of football in Europe but after struggling with injuries and bad performances these season his name seems to be out of the list.
So who's are the surprises that could feature on that list? Probably none. But the ones who deserved to there for what they have been showing lately are definitely Santos players Paulo Henrique "Ganso" and Neymar.
The first is a skillful midfielder that reminds me of a blend of Kaká and Raí. Elegant, versatile, and with a great vision of the field, Ganso is the brain in Santos' midfield. The latter, Neymar, is a firecracker. He defines the joy of Brazilian football, the essence of the beautiful game. Something that Dunga was never part of and seems not to be very found of either.
But hey, there's always hope, right? Let's wait until tomorrow and see.
