West Playoff Preview: Series and Game One Prediction
#3 Phoenix Vs #6 Portland
Current Line for Game 1: Suns -8 / 205

Suns: The Suns started off the season slow and turmoil struck and they Suns looked like they would trade Amare Stoudamire, but then something changed. The Suns decided not to part ways with Amare and after he was benched he responded with brilliant play. Steve Nash is in MVP form and the Suns went on to hold the second best record in the NBA after the all-star break. Now focused on the playoffs they are ready to prove they have a shot at the championship.

Blazers: The Blazers joined the rest of the west and made a solid move at the trade deadline by getting better in the middle. The Blazers grabbed Marcus Camby and automatically got better. The problem is injuries hampered this team and Brandon Roy missed plenty of games and just had surgery and will most likely miss most of this series. Andre Miller is tough at the point but with injuries the Blazers will have a tough hill to climb.

Series and Game One Prediction:

Series: Check out 5Dimes for odds on the first round meeting and the series between the Suns and the Blazers. The Suns are the second hottest team in the league right now and that means they are bringing plenty of momentum into the playoffs. The Blazers will put up a good fight but without their key players they will get an early exit and will lose in five games. The Suns will be led by Amare and Nash and advance to the next round!

Game One: 5Dimes has the Suns as eight point favorites in the first game against the Blazers. The Suns will be amped up to play game one but this line is right on the money. The Suns are 25-9-1 ATS in their last 35 games overall and 12-3-1 ATS in their last 16 home games. The Suns will have a big lead early but the backdoor will be open for the Blazers to cover this game. The Suns win game one but don’t be surprised if the Blazers cover, take the points with Portland in game one.
