Pacers Become 1st Team to Sweep Warriors Since Steve Kerr Became Head Coach
The Indiana Pacers accomplished something Thursday the Houston Rockets, Cleveland Cavaliers or others have never done—sweep the Golden State Warriors in the regular season with Steve Kerr as the head coach.
According to Michael Lee of Yahoo Sports, Indiana became the first team to sweep a season series against a Kerr-led Warriors squad with Thursday's 126-106 victory. The Pacers also beat Golden State 92-81 on March 27 at Oracle Arena.
Bojan Bogdanovic led the way in Thursday's matchup with 28 points, while All-Star Victor Oladipo continued his impressive season with 21 points, seven assists and six rebounds.
Lee noted fans "can add that to the very, very long list of accomplishments no one would've predicted for Indiana after trading Paul George last June."
The Pacers are 47-32 and occupy the No. 5 seed in the Eastern Conference playoff picture with three games remaining in the regular season. They are just 1.5 games behind the Cleveland Cavaliers and Philadelphia 76ers in the battle for the No. 3 seed.
