Sergio Aguero out for Champions League 1st Leg vs. Liverpool with Knee Injury
Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has been officially ruled out of Wednesday's UEFA Champions League quarter-final first leg against Liverpool, as the Argentinian hasn't recovered in time from his knee injury.
Per BBC Sport, manager Pep Guardiola confirmed he won't take part in the match at Anfield.
According to Guardiola, Aguero is improving but not quite ready to go: "Sergio is much better, but doctors spoke to him today, and he said he still has a little bit of a problem and isn't comfortable."

Per the report, Aguero has been sidelined for the past five matches with the knee injury, including the international break at the end of last month. There was optimism he could recover in time for the trip to Anfield, adding yet another weapon to the Sky Blues' vaunted attack.
The 29-year-old has scored four Champions League goals in six outings this season to go with his 21 goals in the Premier League. City have kept on scoring in his absence, however.
Gabriel Jesus has been the star man up front of late, and he's been something of a good-luck charm for the club:
Per BBC Sport, he'll face an injury-depleted defence on Wednesday, as Liverpool will be without Joe Gomez, Joel Matip and Ragnar Klavan.
