The Philadelphia Police Department greased up light poles with various lubricants ahead of the Philadelphia Eagles' victory over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl 52 to discourage celebrating fans from trying to climb them.

With Villanova facing Michigan in the men's Division I national championship game Monday night, authorities around the university are taking the same approach.

"I don't know what they're using, but some poor guy from Villanova has to smear it all over the place," Radnor Police Lt. Chris Flanagan told Stephanie Farr of Philly.com. "We just don't want anybody falling, that's the biggest problem."

"We want them to party like champions," Flanagan added. "Just follow common sense and you should be fine."
