Vince Carter Apologized to Warriors After Serious Patrick McCaw Injury
Sacramento Kings swingman Vince Carter was apologetic for his role in Patrick McCaw's injury Saturday.
Carter undercut McCaw when McCaw went up for a layup in the third quarter of Golden State's 112-96 victory, which resulted in a hard fall. McCaw was stretchered off the floor after remaining down for some time, and Carter was visibly distraught.
According to Chris Haynes of ESPN, Carter approached Warriors head coach Steve Kerr and the team's coaching staff after the contest to apologize.

Carter discussed the play and his apology after the game, per Logan Murdock of the Bay Area News Group:
It was clear Carter felt badly for undercutting McCaw, and Kerr placed his hand on the veteran's back despite suggesting he knows better in the immediate aftermath of the play:
The Warriors announced McCaw was transported to UC Davis for further evaluation Saturday before announcing chest X-rays were clear and a CT scan was clear. The team noted he will undergo an MRI as well.
Teammate Stephen Curry offered his support:
Curry is already out with a Grade 2 MCL sprain, so the McCaw injury further depletes Golden State's backcourt heading into the final stretch of the regular season. McCaw was averaging 4.0 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game in his second season out of UNLV.
Look for Golden State to continue relying on Quinn Cook, who has emerged as a reliable ball-handler.
The Warriors also have Shaun Livingston and Nick Young to handle some of the guard duties alongside Klay Thompson as they prepare for the playoffs and a run at their third title in four years.
