Friday Recap
Girona are confounding the critics in Spain, with the Estadi Montilivi club continuing to rise up La Liga against all odds.
The home side have been difficult to put to the sword this season, and they've taken advantage of other teams failing to hit the standard.
Deportivo are on the brink of relegation, and little was expected of them during their trip to Catalonia.
As expected, Girona quickly turned the screw, and Stuani found the back of the net after reacting quickest in the box.
The 31-year-old attacker has been a revelation in La Liga this season, and he found his 14th goal in only 22 games.

The 21st-minute opener relaxed Girona, and they remained economical with the ball as Deportivo failed to offer a tangible threat.
Florin Andone squandered an excellent chance for the visitors on the stroke of half-time, but the hosts deserved their lead at the interval.
The second half saw little improvement from the Galicia team, and Girona remained progressive as they attempted to double their advantage.
Their wish was granted after 57 minutes. Juanpe headed home Alex Granell's cross, as the ball nestled in the bottom corner of Depor's net.
Girona were satisfied they had done enough against an inferior opponent and cantered their way to full-time with the three points secure.
Depor's lack of confidence remains a serious issue and they must find energy in the final weeks of the campaign.
Girona manager Pablo Machin now sees his men climb into the European places, and dreams could become a reality at the conclusion of the season.
