Recap
Morocco dominated against Namibia, but they could have gone behind after just seven minutes. Absalom Limbondi sent in a tantalising free-kick, but Vitapi Ngaruka missed his header, and the opportunity went begging.
That was the closest the Brave Warriors came in the first half, and the hosts made them pay just before half-time. A quick free-kick from Walid El Karti sent Ayoub El Kaabi clean through, and he clinically beat goalkeeper Lloyd Kazapua for his sixth goal of the tournament.
Morocco continued to press after the break and went close when El Kaabi had an effort cleared off the line. However, moments later they did double their advantage, as Salaheddine Saidi headed home Achraf Bencharki's corner.
Namibia refused to give up hope and tried to get back into the game. The Brave Warriors even managed to get the ball into the back of the net only to see it disallowed, while Morocco could have extended their lead, but Mohamed Nahiri's free-kick struck the crossbar late on.
The CAF's official Twitter account showed how Morocco enjoyed the better of the game:
The hosts now look to be big favourites heading into the last four of the competition, where they will face either Libya or Congo in Casablanca on Wednesday, January 31.
Sudan will join Morocco in the last four after a 1-0 win over Zambia. The first half was a fairly even affair, but Zambia took the lead after 32 minutes through Saifeldin Bakhit. The forward beat John Mwengani in the penalty area and fired home from close range.
The single goal was enough for victory, as Sudan's superior strength proved to be decisive, per the BBC's Nick Cavell:
Sudan are now just one game away from a place in the final and will face either Nigeria or Angola, who clash on Sunday.
