
Report: Kaiserslautern Manager Jeff Strasser Had Heart Attack at Darmstadt Match
Kaiserslautern manager Jeff Strasser reportedly suffered a heart attack at half-time of a Bundesliga 2 clash with Darmstadt on Wednesday, causing the match to be abandoned.
Per MailOnline's Luke Augustus, the two sides were locked at 0-0 at the Merck-Stadion am Bollenfalltor at the time of the incident. Kaiserslautern explained the situation on their Twitter feed (via Augustus): "Dear FCK fans, as you have probably already noticed, the away game in Darmstadt is cancelled. Reason is a medical incident. Our head coach Jeff Strasser is on his way to the hospital."
Darmstadt also responded to the incident on Twitter, per Augustus: "Though we love football so much, there are so many more important things in life."

Strasser, 43, took over at at the helm at Kaiserslautern in September 2017 after seven years with Luxembourg outfit Fola Esch.
A 98-time Luxembourg international during his playing career as a centre-back, Strasser started his senior club career at Metz before joining Kaiserslautern in 2002, and he also spent four years with Borussia Monchengladbach.
