Mo Salah Brace Gives Liverpool Comeback Win vs. Leicester City
Mohamed Salah continued his torrid scoring pace on Saturday with a pair of second-half goals to give Liverpool a 2-1 comeback victory over Leicester City at Anfield.
Salah has now found the net 17 times in the Premier League this season, which ranks second behind Tottenham's Harry Kane (18). The win also keeps the Reds firmly in the top four with a four-point edge over Spurs and Arsenal, though those clubs each have a game in hand.
Jamie Vardy scored for the visitors inside the first five minutes, but that was the Foxes' only shot on target through 90 minutes. The loss moves the club's league winless streak to four matches.

Vardy's opener came when Liverpool's woes in central defense reared their ugly head once again.
Joel Matip sent a careless pass toward the middle of the pitch that was intercepted by Vicente Iborra. The Foxes midfielder delivered a perfect through ball to Riyad Mahrez, who managed to stay onside and then laid the ball off to a charging Vardy for a routine finish from seven yards out.
BT Sport Score spotlighted Vardy's success against the Premier League's top clubs:
Premier League Panel discussed the Reds' back-line issues:
Liverpool controlled a majority of the first half after the early concession.
They held 61 percent of possession and generated 11 shots attempts compared to three for Leicester in the opening 45 minutes. Only three of the home side's shots were on target, however, and Foxes goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel was equal to them.
Sadio Mane did find the net in the 19th minute, but the Senegalese winger was deemed offside.
Mane played a key role when the Reds got level in the 52nd minute, though.
He delivered a back-heel pass to Salah and then watched as the 25-year-old forward weaved through the Leicester back line before striking a low shot past Schmeichel for a highlight-reel equaliser.
Anfield Nation showcased the Egyptian's outstanding form:

He added to those totals in the 76th minute to give Liverpool their first lead of the game.
This time it was James Milner picking up the assist. He worked the ball to Salah, who outmuscled Foxes defender Harry Maguire to create a free run at goal. He made no mistake from there, slotting his shot in at the near post.
Simon Clancy of BBC Radio 5 Live Sport passed along more notes about the forward's memorable start:
The triumph moved the Reds' unbeaten run in Premier League action to 12 matches, dating back to late October.
Liverpool are facing a short recovery period around New Year's Day ahead of a trip to Turf Moor to face Burnley. Manager Jurgen Klopp told the club's official website Thursday there was no secret to success in these type of difficult scheduling situations.
"You cannot learn from it, you only learn to accept it. That's all," he said. "We have to be fully concentrated on the Leicester game and after the Leicester game we have a few hours to 'collect the bones' to see who is able to play against Burnley and then we'll make the line-up."
Meanwhile, Leicester make their way back to the King Power Stadium for a Monday clash with Huddersfield Town to open the 2018 portion of their campaign.
