Recap
West Brom gave United a late scare at the Hawthorns, with the Baggies fighting back as the visitors took their foot off the gas.
Red Devils manager Jose Mourinho would have been happy with his team's showing in the first half, as they claimed a two-goal advantage, but his players went to sleep late in the contest.
Lukaku glanced home a wicked Marcus Rashford cross after 17 minutes, with the Belgian showing no emotion as his effort hit the back of the net.

United deservedly doubled their lead eight minutes later, when Lingard's deflected effort beat goalkeeper Ben Foster. With United 2-0 up before half-time, the result appeared a formality.
However, Mourinho was openly frustrated on the bench as his men progressively dropped deeper after half-time, and it was a nervy last 15 minutes for the travelling supporters.
Gareth Barry poked the ball home to trigger the Baggies' comeback effort in the 77th minute, and United were in disarray, with right-back Antonio Valencia leaving the field injured soon after.
West Brom, who had a clear shout for a penalty shortly before scoring when Ashley Young barged James McClean in the area, threw everything at their opponents in the closing stages, but United limped over the line to claim three points.

Liverpool were irrepressible in their match at Bournemouth, crushing their opponents with a devastating display.
Two early goals from Coutinho and Lovren set the tone for the visitors, and the Cherries were well below their best.
Salah's excellent season continued, as the Egypt international hit the back of the net after a clever run and finish just before the interval. The hosts had no reply despite hitting the post through Jermain Defoe.
Firmino wrapped up the win after 66 minutes, connecting with a glancing header to grab his team's fourth of the evening.
It was a hugely impressive win for Jurgen Klopp's men, and their season appears to be back on track after two consecutive home draws.
