Sunday Recap
Manchester City took on West Ham with Guardiola's league leaders heavy favourites to beat a Hammers side that were just one point off the bottom and without a league win since September.
However, the hosts struggled to trouble the Hammers in the first half, with Silva's fierce shot, which goalkeeper Adrian tipped over, their best effort.
Goal's Sam Lee explained why City were finding it difficult as an attacking force:
West Ham then stunned Guardiola's side shortly before half-time, as Angelo Ogbonna headed home Aaron Cresswell's cross to give the visitors the lead.
Opta highlighted how Ogbonna was an unlikely goalscorer for West Ham:
Guardiola responded by sending on Gabriel Jesus, and his side ramped up the pressure and were level after 57 minutes, as Nicolas Otamendi bundled home the substitute's low cross.
ESPN FC's Jonathan Smith explained how the hosts had improved since the break:
City proceeded to attack relentlessly, and it was only a matter of time before the winner came, duly arriving with less than 10 minutes to go.
Kevin De Bruyne was the creator, pinging the ball into the box where Silva on the stretch managed to guide it past Adrian.
The Telegraph's James Ducker praised Silva for his finish.
It's yet another late win for City, a foundation that title wins are often built on, and sets them up perfectly for Sunday's Manchester derby against United.
Sunday's early fixture saw Southampton come from behind to secure a point in the south-coast derby against Bournemouth.
The hosts had a penalty shout in the first half after Adam Smith went down under a challenge from Sofiane Boufal.
However, referee Jon Moss did not give the spot-kick and instead booked the Bournemouth defender for diving.
Press Association sports journalist Tom Allnutt said that Southampton were fortunate:
Yet Bournemouth did take the lead just before half-time as Ryan Fraser fired past goalkeeper Fraser Forster.
Opta showed how it was a rare goal for the Scot:
Southampton improved after the break, as manager Mauricio Pellegrino sent on Nathan Redmond, who then set up Austin for the equaliser just after the hour mark.
The Premier League highlighted how Austin is in fine form at the moment:
The Saints had the better of the second half but could not find a winner. The point takes them to 11th in the Premier League table, while Bournemouth move into 14th.
