LaVar Ball Says He'd Make Michael Jordan Cry 1-on-1, Lonzo Says He'd Beat MJ

Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Monday night, both LaVar and Lonzo Ball expressed their belief that they could currently beat Michael Jordan in a game of 1-on-1.

As seen in the following video (h/t Kyle Boone of CBS Sports), LaVar claimed he has never lost a game of 1-on-1 in his life:

"He too small, he too little," LaVar said of Jordan. "If you weighing 210 pounds, we playing 1-on-1—you know I'm undefeated 1-on-1? I don't lose 1-on-1. ... If he played me 1-on-1 he'd cry."

Lonzo was later asked if he could beat the 54-year-old MJ 1-on-1, and the 2017 NBA draft prospect was confident he could, saying, "Right now? Yes."

Monday wasn't the first time the elder Ball said publicly that he would put a hurting on His Airness in a 1-on-1 battle.

The Ball family patriarch told Josh Peter of USA Today in March that he would have beaten Jordan in his prime as well:

"Back in my heyday, I would kill Michael Jordan 1-on-1. ... I would just back [Jordan] in and lift him off the ground and call a foul every time he fouls me when I do a jump hook to the right or the left. He cannot stop me 1-on-1. He better make every shot 'cause he can't go around me. He's not fast enough. And he can only make so many shots outside before I make every bucket under the rim."

Jordan is widely regarded as the greatest basketball player of all time, and he boasts a resume that is essentially unmatched.

Air Jordan won six NBA championships, six NBA Finals MVP awards, five regular-season MVP awards and was elected to the Hall of Fame.

In comparison, Ball averaged 2.2 points per game in one season at Washington State.

The stats suggest Lonzo would likely fare better against Jordan than his dad, as he put up 14.6 points, 7.6 assists and 6.0 rebounds per contest in one season at UCLA.
