Darius Acuff Jr. Makes NBA History with Unique Stats Through 1st 8 Games for Kings

Sacramento Kings rookie Darius Acuff Jr. is off to one of the most productive career starts in NBA history.

Acuff is the first player in NBA history to rack up more than 200 points and 50 assists in eight career games, the Kings announced Thursday.

This isn't the first time Acuff has made history his rookie season. He recently joined Cooper Flagg, Luka Dončić and LeBron James as the fourth teenager to record 20 points, five assists and five rebounds in three straight games.

The Kings selected Acuff out of Arkansas with the No. 7 pick of the 2026 draft. He has since led the Kings by averaging 25.6 points per game despite shooting 39.7 percent from the field and 30.8 percent from deep during his team's 1-7 start.
