4-Star RB Toneil Carter Commits to Texas After Decommitting from Georgia
Toneil Carter Jr., a 4-star running back from Langham Creek High School in Houston, committed to the Texas Longhorns on Monday after decommitting from the Georgia Bulldogs.
Carter announced his decision on Twitter after revealing he would not be joining the Bulldogs earlier in the day:

"This was so hard but i gotta do what's best for me . #ingoditrust pic.twitter.com/BhOVV1OuYI

The two seniors Carter mentioned are Nick Chubb and Sony Michel, who are both returning to Georgia next season.
He added:
Because of the return of Chubb and Michel, Georgia could no longer add Carter as an early enrollee based on its number of players on scholarship for the spring period, per Jason Butt of The Telegraph. Enrolling early allows players to participate in spring practices, get a head start on meeting their new teammates, learn the team's scheme and get started on their college education.
Carter, a 5'11", 197-pound running back in the 2017 class, is considered the No. 9 player at his position and the No. 102 player in the country. He was also announced as a participant in the 2017 Under Armour All-America Game.
Greg Powers of Scout.com broke down Carter's skill set:
"Carter is a special runner who has shown an ability from a young age to be a difference maker. Carter has a nice blend of skills. He has the size to be able to run through arm tackles and shows good burst to make defenders miss. He has good top-end speed and solid track speed (10.87 100-meter) and it shows on tape as he is able to take runs the distance once he gets a crease. Carter is a middle of the field runner and when he gets a seam he hits the gas pedal and gets up the field quickly, wasting little time to get positive yards and break big plays. He is better running north and south, but does show the ability to stop and go to extend plays and dodge defenders.
"
Based on Carter's desire to be an early enrollee, it's not a shock that a decision on a new school came quickly. He previously had a visit scheduled to Texas that he later canceled, per Butt, so the Longhorns were an obvious landing spot.
