EPL Table: 2016 Standings After Tuesday's Week 16 Results and Top Scorers
Alexis Sanchez moved alongside Diego Costa as the most prolific goalscorer of the 2016-17 Premier League campaign, but he could not prevent Arsenal falling to a 2-1 defeat to Everton at Goodison Park on Tuesday.
A late Ashley Williams goal proved the knockout blow for the Gunners, as they lost their first game in the league since the opening day of the season, Seamus Coleman having cancelled out Sanchez's free-kick just before half-time.
In Tuesday's other Premier League game, Leicester were unable to build on their recent 4-2 drubbing of Manchester City, as they lost 1-0 to Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium, with Marc Pugh netting the only goal of the match.

Tuesday Recap

Arsenal deservedly went ahead after 20 minutes at Goodison Park having dominated proceedings, although Sanchez's opener was quite a scrappy goal.
He lined up a free-kick from the edge of the box and shot it low and on target, but it is unlikely the effort would have beaten Maarten Stekelenburg had it not been for a big deflection off Williams.
Having started slowly, Everton then began to assert themselves on the game, and Aaron Lennon had a couple of decent chances to equalise around the half-hour mark.
Spurred on by their vocal home support, Ronald Koeman's men did draw level in the 44th minute when Coleman headed in Leighton Baines' cross from the left.
Per Copa90, Arsenal's defence arguably should have done better to track the Irish right-back as he ghosted in from the flank to score:
The second half played out in a similar fashion to the first on Merseyside, as Arsenal started the brighter before Everton worked themselves back into the match.
It was not until the 86th minute, though, that Williams rose highest to nod home Ross Barkley's corner for the winner.
There was much drama late on after Everton had gone ahead. Phil Jagielka was sent off for a second bookable offence in stoppage time before Arsenal saw two efforts cleared off the line.
It was a huge blow for the Gunners, as they missed the chance to go to the top of the table. But for the Toffees, it was their first win in six matches and a much-needed boost heading into the packed Christmas schedule.
Meanwhile, Bournemouth's victory moved them into the top half of the table and condemned Premier League champions Leicester to their eighth defeat of the campaign—at the same stage in 2015-16 the Foxes had lost just once.

Pugh's decisive strike from 18 yards came in the 34th minute after he received a rebound from Benik Afobe's saved effort.
Jamie Vardy and Robert Huth both squandered efforts for the Foxes in the opening half, but Bournemouth controlled the first period, and it was a similar story after the break.
Cherries goalkeeper Artur Boruc produced a late save to deny Leonardo Ulloa a close-range equaliser.
Leicester remain just four points off the drop zone with all the teams below them playing on Wednesday, and the Foxes must now look to claim their fifth victory of the season at Stoke City on Saturday.
