Chelsea, Manchester City Fined for Failure to Control Players
Both Chelsea and Manchester City were charged on Dec. 5 by the Football Association for failing to control their players during Saturday's Premier League clash, which the Blues won 3-1 at the Etihad Stadium.
After an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing, the FA revealed Manchester City and Chelsea were fined £35,000 and £100,000, respectively, on Tuesday after both clubs admitted to breaking FA rule E20(a).
A mass brawl broke out in stoppage time, and City duo Sergio Aguero and Fernandinho were both sent off. The FA confirmed Chelsea's Cesc Fabregas will face no further action for his part in the confrontation.

The governing body said both clubs had until 6 p.m. GMT (1 p.m. ET) on Dec. 8, 2016, to respond to the charge.
Second-half goals from Diego Costa, Willian and Eden Hazard saw Chelsea to victory over title rivals City—their eighth consecutive win in the Premier League.
With the game all but over, Aguero was rightly shown a red card for a horror tackle on David Luiz. Fernandinho was then given his marching orders as well for shoving Fabregas and grabbing him by the throat in the ensuing brawl between both sides.
Per the Press Association (via the Guardian), Aguero was banned for four games and Brazilian Fernandinho for three.
Per BBC Sport's Simon Stone, Chelsea escaped relatively unscathed from the incident:
City manager Pep Guardiola apologised for his side's involvement in the brawl at the end of the match, per BBC Sport's Chris Bevan.
