Baylor vs. West Virginia: Live Score, Highlights for Bears vs. Mountaineers
West Virginia 24, Baylor 21—Final
West Virginia trailed 14-3 in the second quarter, but a 21-0 run helped propel the Mountaineers to the 24-21 victory. Baylor scored a touchdown late in the fourth quarter to pull within three points, but the onside kick was recovered by West Virginia.
The Bears actually got the ball back with a little under a minute to play, but a strip sack and recovery by the Mountaineers sealed the victory. It was a big day for West Virginia defensive back Marvin Gross, who was credited with an interception, a sack and a forced fumble. As a unit, the Mountaineers defense forced four total turnovers.
With the win, West Virginia has now reached 10 wins for the second time under head coach Dana Holgorsen. Baylor fell to 6-6 after losing its final six games, but the Bears will have an opportunity to get back on track in their bowl game.
