Barcelona face a difficult trip to Sevilla during Sunday's 2016-17 La Liga action, as the second-placed Blaugrana will try to break the third-placed side's incredible home streak.

As Sport English shared, Sevilla haven't lost at home since the Spanish Super Cup, and they've won seven straight at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium since. That includes wins over Atletico Madrid and Lyon.

Per Sport's Javi Miguel, both Gerard Pique and Jordi Alba are working hard in preparation for Sunday's match. But neither is expected to be ready in time. Both have been left off Spain's national team as well.

Per Sevilla's official Twitter account, Samir Nasri has been training with the main squad after missing the midweek win over Dinamo Zagreb, and he's expected to be in the starting XI.

Barcelona Predicted XI: Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Sergi Roberto, Javier Mascherano, Samuel Umtiti, Lucas Digne, Ivan Rakitic, Sergio Busquets, Rafinha, Neymar, Luis Suarez, Lionel Messi

Sevilla Predicted XI: Sergio Rico, Sergio Escudero, Adil Rami, Gabriel Mercado, Mariano, Steven N'Zonzi, Vicente Iborra, Vitolo, Samir Nasri, Franco Vazquez, Luciano Vietto

Preview

Sevilla enter Sunday's clash in fine form. They have won three of their last four in La Liga and are coming off a big win over Zagreb in midweek. The Andalusians haven't missed a beat under new manager Jorge Sampaoli. The Pizjuan is still a fortress, the way it usually was under former manager Unai Emery.

Barcelona's Argentinian forward Lionel Messi (C) vies with Sevilla's Argentine midfielder Matias Kranevitter during the second leg of the Spanish Supercup football match between FC Barcelona and Sevilla FC at the Camp Nou stadium in Barcelona on August 17

Vietto has made a fast start to his Sevilla career on loan from Atletico, while Nasri looks like the Nasri of old. Vazquez had the potential to be one of the top value signings of the summer, and so far, the Italian has delivered.

Those three will like their chances against a weakened Barcelona defence that is likely to miss both Pique and Alba. Per Kieran Canning of Agence France-Presse, their absences―and that of Andres Iniesta―played a big role in the 3-1 loss against Manchester City:

Much has been written about Barcelona without Iniesta and their need to fill the creative hole behind the front three. That's something Rafinha managed to do against Granada. The Brazilian is enjoying something of a breakout season. Expect him to get the start and see the ball early against Sevilla.

Defensively, there are serious tactical questions as well. Roberto looked uncomfortable as a right-back for the first time all season against City. Kevin De Bruyne had too much space to pick apart the Catalan defence throughout the match.

In Nasri and Vazquez, Sevilla have two players who could take advantage of similar mistakes. Per ESPN FC's Samuel Marsden, manager Luis Enrique realised his loss in midweek because of errors:

"

But we committed a key mistake and that hurt us because we are not machines.

It's a shame that we have made that error for the first goal and from there on we had a tough time.

When you concede like that, it's normal that you have a bad spell. During that moment we wanted to continue to dominate the game, but it wasn't possible because of errors we made and pressure from City, too.

"

Sevilla can press up the pitch or dominate possession. But they're at their best when they find space in behind the defence and use their athleticism. Expect the Catalans to see much of the ball in midfield, with the threat of a Sevilla counter always alive.
