Washington vs. Utah: Live Score, Highlights for Huskies vs. Utes
Washington 31, Utah 24—Final
Washington's Dante Pettis set up to receive the Utah punt with a little over three minutes left, and the ensuing play would be the difference in the game. Pettis returned the punt 58 yards for a touchdown and it proved to be the game-winning score in Washington's 31-24 victory over Utah.
Washington had to withstand a 17-0 run by Utah after jumping ahead 14-0 early, but the Huskies found a way to get it done in the fourth quarter. Quarterback Jake Browning is at the center of the Heisman Trophy conversation, and his performance today shouldn't hurt that. The sophomore threw for 186 yards and two touchdowns, and he showed a lot of poise down the stretch.
Running back Myles Gaskin rushed for 151 yards and a touchdown in the win, and receiver John Ross caught two touchdown passes.
Utah's Troy Williams started the game very slow, but he looked better in the second half. It was all Joe Williams for the Utes offense, as he led the way with 172 yards and one touchdown on 35 carries.
Washington will travel to California next Saturday, while Utah will face Arizona State on the road after an off week.
