NC State vs. Louisville: Live Score, Highlights for Wolfpack vs. Cardinals
Louisville 54, NC State 13 — Final
After looking sloppy and uninspired in a close win over Duke last week, No. 7 Louisville (6-1) returned to form and re-established itself as a legitimate College Football Playoff contender with a 51-13 thrashing of NC State (4-3) Saturday afternoon.
Cardinals quarterback Lamar Jackson was his sensational self, throwing for 355 yards and three touchdowns to complement 76 rushing yards and another score on the ground. He spearheaded an attack that piled up 553 total yards against an NC State defense that came into the week ranking 15th nationally in yards allowed.
The Wolfpack were overwhelmed by the Cardinals in every phase of the game. Ryan Finley came alive in the second half and threw for 236 yards and two touchdowns against two interceptions. But running back Matt Dayes was completely shut down, running for just 13 yards after eclipsing the 100-yard mark against Clemson last week, and the NC State offense managed just 14 yards on the ground.
We watched the game and provided live analysis all evening.
