Ched Evans Found Not Guilty of Rape in Retrial: Latest Details, Comments

Welsh football player Ched Evans was found not guilty of raping a 19-year-old woman in 2011 as part of a retrial verdict handed down Friday.
According to BBC News, the 27-year-old Chesterfield striker was found not guilty after previously being found guilty in 2012 and sentenced to five years in prison. He was released in 2014 and awarded a new trial earlier this year.

Per Sky News, Evans said he joined former Manchester City team-mate Clayton McDonald in having sex with the woman, but that it was consensual.
McDonald was acquitted of rape in 2012.
