Stanford vs. Washington: Live Score, Highlights for Cardinal vs. Huskies
Washington 44, Stanford 6 — Final
Washington fans have been waiting for a breakthrough game under head coach Chris Petersen, and it looks like they got it Friday night with a 44-6 demolition of Stanford at Husky Stadium in Seattle.
Jake Browning was nearly flawless for the No. 10 Huskies (5-0), completing 15 of 21 passes for 210 yards and three touchdowns (against no interceptions). He led an offensive attack that gashed the Stanford defense, gaining 424 total yards in the prime-time showdown.
The Cardinal (3-1) did nothing right on both sides of the ball. Heisman Trophy candidate Christian McCaffrey managed just 49 yards on 12 carries, and the Stanford offense gained just 213 total yards while surrendering an incredible eight sacks.
The Huskies made a statement with their 38-point victory, not only to the rest of the Pac-12, but to the College Football Playoff selection committee.
We watched the game and provided live analysis all evening long.
