Arkansas vs. TCU: Live Score, Highlights for Razorbacks vs. Horned Frogs

Brian MarronSep 10, 2016

Arkansas 41, TCU 38. Game Over (2OT).

In a game that featured every type of twist Hollywood can provide, Arkansas went into Amon G. Carter Stadium and pulled a wild win Saturday over TCU.

Up 20-7 with about 10 minutes left in the fourth quarter, a missed Arkansas chip-shot field goal propelled a furious TCU rally that put it ahead 21-20 in roughly three minutes before the Horned Frogs added another tally with two minutes left.

Arkansas drove down the field thanks to an impressive display from quarterback Austin Allen to score with a minute left. KaVontae Turpin then returned the kickoff 64 yards before Arkansas blocked a short field goal to send the game to overtime, where the Hogs eventually won in two frames.

Allen established himself as legitimate starter as he paced the Razorbacks with 233 yards and three scores to go with the game-winning touchdown on the ground to lead his team to a road win. Rawleigh Williams added 137 yards rushing to help give Arkansas a balanced attack all night.

Kenny Hill exploded in the fourth quarter to finish with 377 yards and a touchdown throwing to go with 93 yards and two scores rushing. Turpin totaled 295 yards receiving and returning, but his dynamic play was not enough to put the Horned Frogs over the hump at home.

Both teams won and lost the game numerous times in what turned out to be one of the wildest games in this young season. However, the Razorbacks made the key plays in critical moments to give them a fantastic nonconference win.

TCU will open its Big 12 schedule next week with Iowa State, while Arkansas gets what should be a break against Texas State.
