Most Bulldogs fans remember Sirmones for his game-tying touchdown in the 1999 Egg Bowl. His 38-yard reception with 27 seconds remaining helped Mississippi State force overtime, and the team eventually prevailed 23-20 on a field goal by Scott Westerfield.
Sirmones finished with 10 receptions, 137 receiving yards and two touchdowns in 1999. A redshirt sophomore at the time, he transferred from Mississippi State ahead of the 2000 season.
