Euro 2016 Schedule: Live Stream, TV Info and Group Odds for Tuesday Fixtures

Rory MarsdenJun 20, 2016

World champions Germany will look to wrap up top spot in Group C at UEFA Euro 2016 in France by claiming a convincing win over Northern Ireland on Tuesday at the Parc des Princes.

However, Joachim Low's side could finish as low as third if they lose in Paris, as Poland are favourites to win their final group game against Ukraine at Stade Velodrome in Marseille and are tied on points with the Germans.

Group D also finishes up on Tuesday with defending champions Spain taking on Croatia in Bordeaux and the Czech Republic playing out-of-form Turkey at Stade Bollaert-Delelis in Lens.

Things are tight in Group C after Northern Ireland claimed a 2-0 victory over Ukraine last Thursday and Poland and Germany played out a 0-0 draw during the second match of the group stage.

Aside from a decent first half in their opener against the Germans, Ukraine have looked abject during the tournament, and Poland are highly likely to claim three points in their final match of the group.

Robert Lewandowski has yet to get off the mark in Euro 2016 but is always dangerous and could exploit Ukraine's inconsistent defence, while Arkadiusz Milik will also be a threat following a positive start to the competition, per Squawka Football:

Assuming Poland beat Ukraine, the Northern Irish can only finish as high as second in the group, while Germany's top-spot place could also be under threat even if they win on Tuesday.

So far the 2014 World Cup winners have yet to find their groove and were slightly flattered by their 2-0 opening win over Ukraine, as the second goal was a late Bastian Schweinsteiger strike and their defence were far from untroubled.

Northern Ireland manager Michael O'Neill believes his side can cause Germany some problems, per their official Twitter feed:

But, in all likelihood, Northern Ireland will play for damage limitation, with a draw potentially the best result they can hope for, followed by a narrow defeat.

With O'Neill's team having already picked up a win, their chances of qualifying for the last 16 as one of the best third-place finishers look good, but a heavy defeat to a star-studded German squad could prove devastating.

4Turkey200204-40

Spain have not lost a Euro finals match since 2004, and they looked like tournament favourites once again in dismantling Turkey 3-0 on Friday at Allianz Riviera.

After a laboured 1-0 win over the Czech Republic in their opener, Spain put in a terrific performance against the Turks to move to six points and confirm their qualification to the knockout rounds. The high point was Alvaro Morata's second goal that finished off a 22-pass move from manager Vicente del Bosque's side, via ITV Football:

Spain will want to confirm top spot when they face Croatia, and a draw will be enough to do just that.

A draw would also be a good result for Croatia, as it would confirm second place in the group for them, as the Czech Republic could not catch them even with a win over Turkey.

And coach Ante Cacic's side will likely play for a point. They risk a sucker punch by Spain if they commit too many forward going for the win, and they are in a precarious position in Group D.

Croatia let a 2-0 lead slip in the last 15 minutes of their second tournament outing to draw 2-2 with the Czech Republic and leave themselves in danger of dropping to third place.

With Turkey looking poor, the Czechs have a great chance to get three more points on Tuesday, leaving Croatia needing at least a point to confirm second place and, in principle, an easier last-16 clash.

Croatia have too much quality to finish third in Group D—Luka Modric, Ivan Rakitic and Ivan Perisic have all looked good so far in the tournament—but it is a real possibility at present.

And a draw may be the most realistic and safest result against Spain, even though they would finish top by beating the 2008 and 2012 champions.
