Northern Ireland vs. Germany: Live Stream, Odds and Form Guide for Euro 2016

Tom SunderlandJun 20, 2016

In a twist many may not have anticipated leading into Euro 2016, Northern Ireland and Germany will battle to finish atop Group C on Tuesday when they clash at the Parc des Princes in France's capital.

Among the many twists and turns of this summer's European Championship, Group C's emergence as one of numerous "Groups of Death" is a development few saw coming.

As things stand, manager Michael O'Neill's men trail the reigning world champions by a single point heading for Paris and are assured of a top-three finish, but a win over the Germans could see them take first place.

Die Mannschaft were frustrated in a 0-0 stalemate against Poland in their most recent outing, and they could finish as low as third in Group C depending on how the Poles fare against Ukraine in a simultaneous kick-off.

Anticipation is building toward what promises to be an epic showdown in Paris, and we provide odds along with all the vital viewing information ahead of Tuesday's must-watch Euro 2016 collision.

Northern Ireland to Lead at Any Time: 7-2

If you're one to back the underdog, Northern Ireland may take your fancy this Tuesday as Oddschecker provides odds of 7-2 on O'Neill's side taking a lead at any point in the fixture.

The recent 2-0 dismantling of Ukraine was an impressive display of tactics coming off perfectly on Northern Ireland's part, and numerous high-profile sports figures are rallying behind their team, per BBC Sport NI:

Few might have thought the at-times offensively shy outfit would find themselves in this position following the opening 1-0 defeat to Poland, but the Guardian's Owen Gibson showed their journey is garnering global attention:

The aforementioned odds pay out as long as Northern Ireland take a lead—no matter how temporary it is—at any point against the Germans, although one would have to imagine they need to score first to do so.

Defence is the name of Northern Ireland's game, and even the more adventurous gambler out there can back the side to beat Germany without conceding a goal at odds of 22-1, per Oddschecker.

Germany Wary of Underdog Opponents

Germany coach Joachim Low knows what's at stake in Tuesday's deciding group match.

While they may be world champions, Germany are by no means taking Tuesday's challenge lightly, especially after the recent bore draw against Poland forced them to re-evaluate their chances of progressing.

Manager Joachim Low has spoken highly of the Green and White Army, and he'll look to enforce a robust display come Tuesday, per the official Euro 2016 Twitter account:

What's more, centre-back Mats Hummels recently heaped praise on the Northern Irish, whom his team must beat if they're to guarantee top spot in Group C:

Die Mannschaft have been adept in defence themselves at Euro 2016 thus far and are yet to concede a goal in their two outings, beating Ukraine 2-0 before their draw against the Poles.

However, coming up against an outfit who would likely be more than happy to draw in Paris, they may encounter major frustrations come Tuesday and face a battle of wits in how they deal with them.
