Tom SunderlandJun 13, 2016

The first slate of fixtures is nearing its end at Euro 2016, and Tuesday sees Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal take on minnows Iceland as the Group F campaign finally gets under way.

Manager Fernando Santos will lead Portugal into their first test of the UEFA European Championship in Saint-Etienne full of confidence following their final warm-up win last Wednesday, a 7-0 hammering of Estonia.

Iceland also ended their Euro 2016 preparations on a high by beating Liechtenstein 4-0, and head coach Lars Lagerback boasts a team free of pressure in their maiden major international tournament.

Cristiano Ronaldo to Score 2 or More Goals: 9-2

Ronaldo is among the favourites to finish as Euro 2016's top scorer.

As far as group fortunes go, Portugal could hardly have asked for a much simpler sample of opponents for the first stage of their European Championship, without doing a disservice to Austria, Hungary or Iceland.

Of the three, it's Tuesday's opponents who could ultimately prove the easiest opponents. However, Icelandic strongman Hafthor Bjornsson—better known as "The Mountain" from Game of Thrones—has warned captain Ronaldo against putting the ball in the back of the net, per Match of the Day:

The Real Madrid maestro is currently priced at 9-2 to score two or more goals in his tournament opener, per Oddschecker, and ESPN FC's Ben Dinnery helped confirm Ronaldo will be fit to make his Euro 2016 bow:

Ronaldo has scored at least one goal in each of the three European Championships in which he's competed to date, notching a joint-tournament high of three at Euro 2012.

With a relatively simple group layout in front of him and Iceland unlikely to keep the Portuguese from scoring in Saint-Etienne, Ronaldo is as liable as any to run rampant from the off.

Austria Beat Hungary, Both Teams to Score: 10-3

Austria will face Hungary in their Euro 20

Calling a winner between Austria and Hungary is considerably more difficult, even though the former head into Tuesday's meeting as the clear favourites at 2-3.

However, while those odds aren't too enticing, Austria are also priced at a more favourable 10-3 to win and both teams to score, per Oddschecker. Unibet recently provided a preview for Tuesday's showdown:

Squawka's Greg Johnson has suggested Austria could be something of a dark horse in France, although a record of just two wins in their last five games suggests they may struggle against bigger sides:

Hungary are making their return to the European Championship after a 44-year absence from the competition.

Austria have conceded at least once in their last five matches, so while they may be favourites to win the tie, it wouldn't be a shock to see head coach Marcel Koller's side do so without a clean sheet.
