Copa America Schedule 2016: Monday Group Live Stream, TV Info and Odds

Tom SunderlandJun 13, 2016

Mexico and Venezuela have it all to play for on Monday evening, as the two best teams in Group C prepare for a 2016 Copa America showdown to decide who will emerge from the pool on top.

Uruguay and Jamaica are already destined to exit the tournament at the first hurdle, but the teams have pride at stake in their final outing and each will be looking to end the competition on a high.

El Tri boast one of the best defences in the contest thus far and have conceded just once in their two outings, but Venezuela are the only nation yet to surrender even a single goal to the opposition.

Mexico vs. Venezuela: Draw Odds

Mexico have a chance to justify their pre-tournament status as one of the front-runners to succeed in the United States on Monday, when they face a Venezuela side that's yet to concede a goal in 180 minutes.

As things stand, El Tri will top the group on goal difference, and as ESPN FC's Tom Marshall noted, the prize for first place in Group C is a tournament route that avoids Argentina in the next round:

As such, Mexico may not chase a win at Houston's NRG Stadium with the same energy they have in their previous two matches, when a draw would suffice in seeing them still take the summit.

By no means are El Tri underestimating their opponents, either. Striker Oribe Peralta said Venezuela will be treated just like any other foe:

It's likely to be a tense group decider between the two, who are favored at 5-1 to draw at half-time and full-time, per Oddschecker, or odds of 3-1 are available for Mexico to be in front at the break only to draw in the end.

Venezuela may not have conceded a goal yet in the competition, but they've also scored just one in each of their two games so far, meaning Monday's big meeting could be a low-scoring event.

Uruguay vs. Jamaica: First Goalscorer

Suarez is hoping to make his Uruguay return against Jamaica.

The dead-rubber match between Uruguay and Jamaica will be a glum occasion for both teams, but more so for manager Oscar Tabarez's side, considering they were tipped to progress from Group C.

Luis Suarez wasn't named on the team sheet for Uruguay's 1-0 loss to Venezuela on Thursday, and he lashed out on the bench after failing to come on. However, the striker has since apologised to his coach:

"

Tabarez had said previously that I couldn't play because I was not even 90 per cent. You know me, I wanted to say this is my problem and not [Taberez's]. Everyone knows him and I'm not going to say bad things... I'm grateful [to him].

If Taberez had made me play it would've made the situation worse. I felt I was ok but that wasn't the case. I'm feeling better and trained [on Friday], but [the muscle injury] is misleading.

"

The Barcelona hitman is favored at 11-4 to open the scoring against Jamaica, per Oddschecker, and Bleacher Report's Rik Sharma recently outlined just how much he has been missed during his injury absence:

Speaking of Paris Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani, he sits just behind Suarez at 3-1 to score the first goal against Jamaica, despite an extremely disappointing show against Venezuela.

Jamaica are the only team yet to score a goal at the Copa America Centenario, and Clayton Donaldson is the highest-placed Jamaican star in the first-goalscorer odds, all the way out as a 10-1 underdog.
