SEC Power Rankings for Week Five
By Brad Locke
Time for my weekly SEC Power Rankings, for what they're worth (not much). Had a bit of a shakeup this week, which is par for the course in this league. Let's get to it.

1. Florida (1): Good news on Tim Tebow’s injury. No damage to his halo.
2. Alabama (2): Kentucky coach Rich Brooks said this week that Alabama is “almost as good as Florida.” Judging by what we’ve seen thus far, you could argue the Tide is better. (Oh no, blasphemy!)
3. LSU (4): As in the national rankings, the Tigers are here by default. Sure, they’re good, but they’re not Aerosmith good. More like Whitesnake good.
4. Georgia (5): I still don’t know what to make of this bunch. But I’m picking the Bulldogs to upend LSU, because as we all know, I still don’t believe in the Tigers, or their fans.
5. South Carolina (8): Eric Norwood eats a bowl of nails for breakfast. Without any milk.
6. Auburn (10): I obviously have greatly underestimated Auburn and its offensive coordinator, Gus Malzahn. The Tigers are more prolific than Shawn Kemp.
7. Ole Miss (3): Yep, same old Rebels. Still haven’t lost a party, though.
8. Arkansas (6): The Hogs weren’t expected to beat Alabama last week, but dang, where was that offense?
9. Mississippi State (12): Bulldogs were thisclose to a huge upset.
10. Vanderbilt (7): Commodores cooked up some Rice last week, but can they humiliate Ole Miss further?
11. Kentucky (11): Taylor Wyndham will pay for this someday. You don’t do that to Tim Tebow and get away with it.
12. Tennessee (9): I’m trying really, really hard not to enjoy Lane Kiffin’s struggles.
