Liverpool, Sevilla Charged by UEFA for Crowd Disturbances in Europa League Final
UEFA Europa League winners Sevilla and beaten finalists Liverpool have been charged by European football's governing body for "crowd disturbances" prior to the tournament's showpiece game in Basel, per BBC Sport.
Incidents took place before kick-off in a section of Basel's St Jakob-Park Stadium, "after some Liverpool fans obtained tickets in the non-segregated Sevilla end," per the BBC report.
Both clubs are facing separate charges, and the report said Liverpool will face punishment for fans "setting off of fireworks."

Meanwhile, Copa del Rey finalists Sevilla, who will face Barcelona on Sunday, will be sanctioned for the "throwing of objects."
Paul Hayward of the Daily Telegraph passed on an image of what appeared to be trouble brewing between rival supporters as the players were warming up on the pitch before the game, which Sevilla eventually won 3-1:
A hearing will take place on July 21 to examine the incidents and determine any punishments.
If the charges are proved, they will act as a stain on the seasons of both clubs. Liverpool enjoyed an otherwise memorable European campaign by reaching the final, while Sevilla went one better. The Spanish club lifted the trophy for a fifth time and have completed a hat-trick of consecutive wins under manager Unai Emery.
This unsavoury incident will put a damper on each side's achievements.
