Chelsea Transfer News: Henrikh Mkhitaryan, John Terry, Top Blues Rumours
Chelsea target Henrikh Mkhitaryan is reportedly at an impasse in his Borussia Dortmund contract negotiations, giving the Blues hope for a summer deal. Plus, captain John Terry has said he wants to play for "a couple more years" at Chelsea.
On Monday, the Mirror's Darren Lewis reported Mkhitaryan—who has a year left on his contract—wants to add a buyout clause to any new deal he signs at the Westfalenstadion, a stipulation the club is unwilling to sanction.

According to Lewis, the Black and Yellows have learned their lesson after losing former starlet Mario Gotze to Bayern Munich in 2013, when the reigning Bundesliga champions triggered his £31 million buyout clause.
Rather than lose Mkhitaryan for nothing next year, it's feasible Dortmund could now look to offload him in the summer window, and FourFourTwo's Alex Chaffer has said his future is up in the air:
The Armenia international has become a major component at the Westfalenstadion since moving to Germany from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2013, scoring 23 goals and registering an outrageous 32 assists in 51 games this season.
That total equates to Mkhitaryan having a direct hand in at least one goal per match this term, and Chelsea have clearly taken a shine to the attacking midfielder's scintillating string-pulling.

The Blues currently have the likes of Oscar, Cesc Fabregas, Willian and Eden Hazard supplying ammunition to their front line, but incoming boss Antonio Conte may look to add some fresh faces after Euro 2016.
Meanwhile, club stalwart Terry is reportedly hoping to agree new terms in west London and extend his 21-year tenure at Stamford Bridge.
Terry, 35, whose contract at Stamford Bridge expires in the summer, spoke to the television station of Danish club Brondby this week (via the Mirror's Matt Lawless).
"I still want to play for a couple more years, hopefully that's at Chelsea," he said. "I'm a Chelsea player and that has been my club since the age of 14. I love Chelsea."
Terry is expected to meet with Roman Abramovich’s key aides, Marina Granovskaia and Michael Emenalo this week to learn his fate, per Matt Hughes of The Times.
Former Blues goalkeeper and ex-team-mate to Terry, Mark Schwarzer, spoke highly of the centre-back on Match of the Day, and urged the club to offer the veteran a new deal:
Terry has been linked with a coaching position at Brondby, while the Sun reported he could earn £230,000 a week in the Chinese Super League, an annual salary of £12 million (h/t James Dickenson of the Daily Express).
Much will depend on how Terry ranks in Conte's list of priorities, with the incoming boss perhaps eager to move on and establish a new lineage of stars at the club.
